Thomas (“TJ”) is Vice President of Compliance and Risk Advisory for Xamin. He collaborates with the Xamin team on developing security and risk related programs and will be working with clients to consult on cybersecurity matters, help them mature their cybersecurity program and assist with regulatory challenges.
TJ takes an open and collaborative approach to working with clients, with a focus on building consensus and securing the enterprise. He grew up with a passion and aptitude for new technologies before starting his career as a network engineer and He gradually shifted to focusing on risk, compliance, and all things “cyber”. With over 30 years of professional experience and a strong commitment to learning, TJ is excited to help clients maximize their use of technology and find ways to get to that next step of reducing risk for the business.
Most recently, he has served as the National Leader of Cybersecurity for a national CPA firm and serves as an Adjunct Professor for the Illinois Institute of Technology. He also believes in service to the cybersecurity community and is a member of FBI InfraGard, ISC2, and sits on various committees with ISACA.
Outside of work, TJ stays busy in the air and on land. He has his pilots license and loves to fly. He also plays the Bass Guitar and loves to tinker with electronics.
